We attended a mind blowing and centering yoga and beats class at Shefayoga taught by Leah Zaccaria (owner of the studio), and beats provided by LIVE DJ HYFI. After class Leah disclosed it was her birthday and provided prosecco for all to celebrate both the class and her birthday. After class Maia came upon a t-shirt at the studio which really resonated with us, especially at this time in our lives. It read “my life is my message.” Which reminded Julie to come from a place of empathy, compassion and joy in order to live her life to the fullest. Maia related the quote to her endeavors, hard work, positivity, and her overall mission of coming into her own.
This month we thought it would be fun to do the atheleta squat challenge. The challenge is for 30 days so we started at the end of January, being that February is a short month. The idea is to build up squat reps everyday, and finish February 28th with 200 squats. We have made a game out of it, as you can see from the picture below! Our motto is keep smiling and of course counting!!!

We finished off our weekend with Winter Herb Pasta with Roasted Veggies from one of our favorite food blogs called Not Without Salt. The pasta dish was delicious and was a great way to clean out the veggies in the frig.
So as we leave this post and this Valentine’s Day our take away was not only to love others, but to deeply love and take care of yourself, and find your own message. Whether it be through yoga, your job, your friendships etc. your message is within you, you just need to find the strength to write it.
